Hi there, welcome to the very first issue of The Senior Signal. Every two weeks I'll send you the scams going around, simple tech fixes, and straight answers to your questions.
In this issue
1. Medicare calls to ignore
2. The delivery text trap
3. Bigger text on your phone in 30 seconds
Scam alert
Medicare won't call you out of the blue
Open Enrollment runs through December 7, and scam callers know it. If someone calls to sell you a plan or asks for your Medicare number, hang up and call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) yourself.

Fake delivery texts: the one rule to remember
"Your package could not be delivered. Update your address here." Fake texts like this pick up before the holidays, and the link leads to a site that asks for your card number.
The one rule: don't tap links in delivery texts you didn't ask for. If one arrives, just delete it.
Quick tip
Make the text on your phone bigger
iPhone: Settings, then Display & Brightness, then Text Size. Drag the slider right.
Android: open Settings, search for "Font size," and drag the slider right.
